T'ai Chi Chuan is a centuries old martial and healing art that uses the body's
own energy, called chi, as it's main source of power for self defense and/or
healing. Through slow meditative movements, awareness training and breathing
exercises, one learns how to collect, store and utilize chi for maintaining
health by relaxing the body, calming the mind and strengthening the spirit.
Tai Chi practice is suited for all ages and abilities. Focus, flexibility,
balance, strength, endurance and agility are the byproducts of the regular
practice of Tai Chi.
Tai Chi is not magic, but a set of proven techniques that must be practiced to
achieve the benefits. Tai Chi is not a miracle, but can produce miraculous
results, if you do the work. Tai Chi is not hard, but a complex set of
movements broken down into simple steps. Tai Chi is not easy; it requires
commitment and practice. Tai Chi is not a religion, but enhances your
spiritual experience and strengthens your faith.
Benefits of the practice of Tai Chi include lowered blood pressure, stress
reduction, fall prevention, immune system fortification, anger management,
therapeutic change facilitation, increased breathing capacity, delay of the
normal aging process, improved athletic performance, pain reduction, increased
energy levels and accelerated healing.
