It's official - Synergy is bigger and better than ever.
Synergy Yoga & Pilates is pleased to announce their collaboration with Stott
Certified instructor Katrina Cooper and Pilates in Motion. Synergy's expanded
space
(now twice as large) will now be able to offer seperate and dedicated studios
for both yoga & pilates.
Mobile's newest fully equipped
pilates studio will be a place for people to not only exercise but to learn how
to move better longer, and stronger than ever before. Pilates in
Motion will offer group reformer classes as well as private and semi-private
personal instruction that focuses on the fundamental principles of Joseph
Pilates' method. Group mat Pilates classes will also be offered to help clients
develop a strong foundation in the principles of concentration, control,
precision, and balanced muscle development. Let the Stott and Balanced Body
trained instructors at Pilates in Motion provide you with the quality Pilates
training and movement education right for people of all ages and backgrounds.
In addition to our alliance with Pilates in Motion, Synergy's newer and larger
facility is excited to be able to expand their yoga offerings - adding to
the schedule pre-natal yoga
classes, as well as (starting in January) a new 7:15 PM yoga class for those of
you requesting a later evening session.
These pre-natal yoga classes are based on Yogafit's pre-natal format,
which was designed by a board certified obstetrician/gynecologist. Classic yoga
poses are selected specifically for use during pregnancy and the postpartum
period, and will be safe for students throughout all trimesters of pregnancy.
Pre-natal classes will be held in 8 week sessions and will begin the second
week in
October.

To minimize distractions, studio doors are shut when class begins, so please
arrive at least 5 minutes early.

Wear clean, comfortable clothing that allows movement & remove your shoes.

Work at 60-70% of your maximum effort since straining can lead to injury.

Try not to eat 2-3 hours before class.

Do not wear strong perfumes or strongly scented lotions.

Please bring a towel if you tend to perspire during class.

Empty your bladder before class.

Be courteous to others - please turn off cell phones/pagers during class.

Consult with your physician if you are pregnant, injured, or have other
physical conditions before beginning this or any other physical activity.
